Dr. Cheng was a dream for my first pregnancy and delivery. She was always knowledgeable and straightforward. She made me and my husband feel comfortable and empowered to ask questions leading up to delivery. She also had a great sense of humor and made our visits feel less clinical. During delivery she was direct, efficient, and had my best interest in mind. She guided me through the process in a way that was best for both me and my baby. She also promptly dismissed a student physician who just walked into the delivery room unannounced and made me feel very confident that she was not going to let anything unexpected happen to me. Highly recommend!!

I am so grateful Dr. Cheng was my OB and I can’t recommend her enough. Wish I could give more stars on here. A huge priority for me was to have a smooth delivery / not push for 3+ hours like I did with my first. But from the very first appointment, she made my husband and I feel at ease and reassured with every concern and question we had. Through the whole 9 months she was always providing great advice, answering all questions, and always listening and meeting me where I was at in my pregnancy with care / kindness. I’m happy to say I had a very quick delivery just like Dr. Cheng said I would!
I also love how confident and passionate she is in her profession and being an OB. You can really tell she loves what she does. I’m almost bummed not to be pregnant anymore because I don’t get to see Dr. Cheng every few weeks!

Just gave birth to my first born two months ago. Finally have some time to share my obgyn experience! Very glad that my husband found Dr. Cheng- she was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout my pregnancy. All my concerns and worries were always addressed and resolved. My delivery went smoothly as well thanks to her! Will come back for my next pregnancy for sure 🙂

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cheng. She is a straight shooter and science-driven and will be upfront with you about what to worry about or not, which is extremely refreshing when many doctors these days try to guilt women into worrying about everything. For instance, Dr. Cheng very kindly re-upped my antidepressant when my psychiatrist refused to engage with a pregnant woman, noting (as did my other prenatal doctor) that untreated depression is a health risk to both mother and fetus, and the field of psychiatry has yet to catch up there.

Very few doctors these days will guarantee you to be personally present for your delivery, and most operate on an on-call system rotating with other doctors due to the unpredictability of pregnancy and labor. But I had a high-risk delivery, and Dr. Cheng made herself available for my extra-long labor, visited me multiple times, and monitored me remotely from midday Friday when I was admitted to early morning Sunday. She answered every call from the nurses when they wanted to adjust my meds, and called them to give them instructions any time she saw my blood pressure going up or contractions changing via an app on her phone (!). She booked it to the hospital from her home in the wee hours of Sunday morning to deliver me.

I'm sure she can't make that happen for every patient, but she went above and beyond the call of duty because of the high-risk situation; I was prepared to deal with any random delivery doctor (some have mentioned her offer to guarantee her presence, which is also going above and beyond, costs an extra fee, but she's very clear it's just for patients who would feel better to be 100% certain she's there the entire time; I didn't opt for that). But was so relieved she was so present over multiple weekend days. Pregnancy can be a real trip mentally and emotionally, and I found Dr. Cheng to be a clarifying and grounding force for my whole experience.

Dr. Cheng is down-to-earth, capable and kind. What I loved most is that she is incredibly real with you about everything: She always listened to me and supported my decisions, giving me all the information I needed to make the best choices for myself. I truly felt like I was in the most capable hands throughout my pregnancy, and thanks to her amazing care, I now have a healthy, happy baby. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an OB-GYN who genuinely cares!

I can't recommend Dr. Cheng enough! I switched to her around 12 weeks, and was nervous about starting over with a new doctor. After the first visit, my mind was immediately put at ease. She is everything that you'd want in an OBGYN, especially as a first time mom. She approaches discussions and decisions with empathy, data/statistics, and her own opinion as someone who has been through pregnancy and child birth herself. Not only did I think she was incredible, but my husband also really connected with her as well—she treated us as a family unit and didn't disregard him or his questions just because he's not the patient. During labor, I was so very grateful to have Dr. Cheng there to be my doctor and cheerleader. She was encouraging and motivating, and made my labor experience a positive one. Thank you, Dr. Cheng!

Dr. Cheng delivered my baby almost a year ago. It was a holiday weekend and I was worried I wouldn’t get to see her for the delivery because of the holiday. She was there for all of it. She was patient. I had a long labor that finally resulted in a c section and I am so grateful that she was the doctor we chose. She held my hand through all the difficult decisions and helped me follow my birth plan, despite the numerous unknown factors that came up. I am appreciative of the experience with her and so grateful for the delivery of my beautiful and healthy baby boy. We’re so happy to have found Dr. Cheng.

I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Cheng when I moved to the area. As a first time mother, I had lots of questions throughout my pregnancy that she always answered with empathy and expertise. When complications arose in third trimester, she guided me through my options while being mindful of my preferences leading to the delivery of a healthy baby, for which I am so grateful. In addition to being a highly skilled doctor, I think being a mother herself helps Dr. Cheng relate to her patients. She's kind, open, and has a great sense of humor. She also has lots of tips, from pain management techniques during labor to doulas (she recommended the one whom we ultimately hired after an unfruitful search on my own). And lastly, as a bonus, I never had to wait too long to see her at my appointments (my appointments were usually in the morning) — which is rare in my experience with doctors. If I have another kid someday, I definitely want her to deliver them too. Dr. Cheng is truly wonderful.
