Went in for a loud and embarrassing rattling sound, was told by another well known local mechanic shop that it was the exhaust flange and they referred me to Discount Muffler. From the beginning of my phone call and making the appointment this place was amazing. The young lady who took my information was fast and helpful and neither of us were wasting each other's time, all whilst asking the necessary questions to book the appointment. Needless to say they got me in very quickly and I did not make it to my appointment on time. I miscalculated how long it would take from my side of town. I called the shop and the same young lady answered and was understanding and welcomed me to still come by and have my car checked out. Anyway, less than 30 mins after bringing in my vehicle they have a diagnostic and a quote.
Now....(this is the part where they're heroes) I was having a cruddy week, day, hour, everything!.. and she quoted me LESS THAN 1/5 of what I had budgeted for this fix!! I was so surprised at the work they were going to do and especially at how low the price was!! Not only was the quote way under my budget, they fixed it on the spot! All in all I believe I was there for maybe an hour, maybe less.

● My vehicle no longer sounds like I'm dragging Tin cans and a "Just Married" sign!

Katrina owns the best car shop in Tucson. She actually cares about her customers and the work that is done to their cars. Discount Muffler is a good, honest business and they don’t try to gouge your pockets. This is the only place I will take my car for repairs.

This repair shop is the real deal. You’ll need to make an appointment. I promise, it’s worth the wait. Service is prompt. They are brutally honest with you as to what your vehicle really needs. Their shop rates are favorable! Give them a try.

Took my 1990 Japanese Domestic Market turbo diesel powered Toyota Land Cruiser in asking for their opinion about installing a complete 3” exhaust in order to lower my exhaust temperatures…Javier was extremely helpful all the while listening to my requests.

He did a fantastic (and extremely professional) installation! My EGT dropped significantly.

I am extremely happy with the service I received from both Javier and the woman at the counter.

If I need any exhaust system work on any of my vehicles in the future, they will certainly be my first choice!

Great experience. Second time there. First time for exhaust tip on an Audi A3, second for a cat-back install on a 17' GLI. Appointment was for 9am. Got me right in with awesome service on the front end. I took my daughters to grab a quick breakfast bite next door, returned before 10am and car was parked out front ready to go. Awesome. Again, great service on the back end with time to show me their work with car on lift. Also, reasonable install prices. Before you leave a bad review, please consider the exhaust system you are having them install. Mine was a straightforward Borla kit install. If you are going custom with a "cheaper" kit or parts, be prepared for more labor therefore more $. Thanks DM squad!

I am travelling through Tucson and met a young couple at the dog park and asked them if they knew of a mechanic that was knowledgable, honest, and would not intentionally take advantage of me. No hesitation when it came to Discount Muffler! They were right and so much more! Whatever your car needs do not think twice. I promise the care, and service will be the best you've had!! I will be taking my car in before I leave for that extra special care and safety on the road...:)

Gal up front took great care of us. Came in for an estimate and I was impressed. She had to have cars moved to get the car on the rack and showed us the exhaust having extensive damage and needing replaced. Estimate was quick and appt made. Dropped off & picked up without any issues. Great communication

I bought a flawless condition Fiesta ST and took it to Discount Muffler for some work. They somehow put a dime sized dent into the frame rail above my door and tried to cover it up with a paint marker. I didn’t notice the damage until a few days after I had work done. Not even mentioning the horrible service from the desk. Discount Muffler does shady business, and if they want this review amended to reflect a positive experience, they should contact me and pay for the damages.
