I bought a used van elsewhere and needed technical assistance and training. The guys stepped right up and walked me through the mechanical systems like I bought the van through them. My highest recommendations and regards. They will be building my next van! Thanks Derek and Bob, you guys ROCK!

A+ Product & Customer service. Had a streamlined experience in Dec 2022 when we brought the van out from southern California to Colorado. I relayed over my flight after drop off, and my flight in for pickup 2 weeks later. All went well. Unfortunately, a actuator gave out last week. I reached out on Monday and received a replacement by Friday. 2 pins and 2 wires so I swapped it out myself and was back up and running in time for our trip. These parts sometimes give out from mass manufacturing and not from CCV themselves so I am truly happy about the warranty Colorado Campervan offers and actually backs. They are worth it! Thanks Bud!

65-year-old, life-long car-camping road trippers here. We have a 2013 Ford E350 passenger van we bought in 2018. My husband and I took out all the seats and he built a platform bed and places to store our camping gear. We used the van like that for two years before we decided to plunk down some cash to improve it.

I started working with Derek in February, 2021 and due to covid-19 and a huge backlog of builds, CCV wasn't able to put on our pop-top and do our build until fall that year. Derek was up-front about the delay and the schedule for our build was exactly what he told us.

I was aware of on-line reviews and concerns about communication and quality of work at CCV, but they are literally one of the only shops in the USA that does custom work on these old Ford vans. We drove it to/from NorCal to have CCV work on it. I love their company mission and vision: "...providing varying levels of van build–outs for differing lifestyles and budgets," and "...own a van, gain the memories that make life rich" and "a life filled with adventure is a life well-lived."

Communication with Derek was tough at first, but when our van build got closer, it improved a lot. CCV's designer worked closely with me to plan out our custom interior and it turned out great. We spend most of our time outside our van and get a hotel room every 4th or 5th night so all we wanted was a pop-top, fridge, custom storage, and small induction cook top in case of bad weather. No water or propane systems. CCV was happy to do that and they did not try to sell us stuff we didn't want or need.

There were some minor quality control issues, but CCV quickly and easily honored their warranty. Definitely take time at pickup to go through your new van thoroughly with the lead for your project. Check out each system (electrical, water, propane, etc.) carefully.

We love our van - it's just what we wanted, no more and no less. We take at on at least two 3-week trips per year and many shorter trips all over the western USA. The pop-top is fabulous and so is having a fridge! I'd gladly give CCV a 4.5 rating, but Google won't let me.

My wife and I wanted an adventure vehicle we could take on impromptu trips to hike/ski/camp/snowshoe and so on. Our class C RV is great for planned trips but not good for day trips. We wanted storage for items so we could literally just go where we wanted on a moments notice. Having heat makes it useable all year round and the AC allows for summer camping anywhere. CCV did exactly what we wanted and for significantly less than any of 10 others we priced with. The work is solid and they went above and beyond to take care of a heater component issue not of their making. This area of commerce is super busy so it can take a little time to communicate, but so worth it. We’ve been on trips in all weather, in all sorts of places and not been disappointed once. Best thing we ever did to fit our active lifestyle.

We recently finished our custom conversion with CCV and absolutely love it. Before we decided on them I had read all the reviews and was particularly concerned about (1) build quality; (2) customer service; and (3)completion schedule. We started talking with Derek in July 2021 and honestly (as others have said) it was hard to get a hold of him. CCVs business has taken off in the pandemic - 90% of Sprinters on the Colorado front range get sold for conversion - its a booming business. But with the boom CCV has also changed a lot of things - more management, much improved planning, and a focus on customers and what they want.

Our experience, working with Caleb Winters as the CCV lead, was excellent. The van was not completed on time - but we did a unique and complete customization and co-designed the end product. With all our ideas, changes and supply chain issues we didn't expect the original timing to be fulfilled. Build quality is good - quality materials and laminates, solidly built. We did have a few bugs with some layout issues and finish qualities, but Caleb advocated for us and everything got sorted out. And as regards customer service we are very happy - Caleb kept us informed all along and was always open to our ideas.

I think the rule here is that if one expects a standard product then one can expect a specific quality standard at a specific time. As Henry Ford put it when a customer asked him about colors on his Model T: "you can have any color you want as long as it is black." We wanted something built to our design, fabrics, wood trim and color scheme so we entered the relationship as a partnership, collaborating to get what we wanted. And we did.

We have owned 6 RVs previously (including a wonderful Airstream) and know how the industry works and the vast gap between what manufacturers promise and what is delivered. Working in partnership with CCV we have bridged the gap and give us exactly what we wanted! We recommend them!

Attached are some pictures of the finished product (insofar as an RV is ever finished.....)

Avoid Colorado Camper Van! Run, don't walk from this place! Derek Weber the Owner is a great salesman but he ripped me off by charging me thousands of dollars for work not completed, charging me thousands of dollars for botched work I'll have to have redone, and kept my van beyond the agreed-to completion date. He also charged me sales tax on my entire job including labor which is against Colorado law. He only reduced it partially after I caught him. I'm planning to take him to court, that's how bad it is. Buyer beware! The good reviews may have been written by his friends or employees, Buyer Beware!!!

From day 1, my experience with CCV’s was honest and good from, scheduling, delivery and Quality of work to the friendly assistance of any questions I had on a multitude Q’s. Derek even arranged for someone to pick me up and take me back from a local hotel. That was in January 2018, quite cool. I’ve now had my CCV pop top for 4 yrs of frequent & perfect use. 2 trips across the U.S., camping and many Music Festivals in all kinds of weather. Snow storms, Floods, High Winds and heat. CCV’s were Honest and forthright about their product, service and costs. A good crew. Thx Derek. 5 Stars!!!

I am absolutely ecstatic about the work I had done at CCV!! I had a clear vision of what I wanted when I started out. I worked with CCV about design and needs. When I say I was more than pleasantly surprised when I picked it up! I’m still smiling right now! Everything was better than expected and I was blown away! I had a Maxxair fan installed, espar heater, a tv, speakers relocated, new ceiling with 6 puck style dimmable lights, and a refrigerator installed. I can’t really find the words to truly express my happiness!! Thanks to Steve, Derek, Greg, Justin, etc. I am forever grateful to you guys!!

PS: Van had to have access and space for a power wheelchair. The van is handicapped accessible!! You can’t beat this work. Expect your vehicle to be wrapped up a few weeks..this is PREMIER custom work, not a chop shop ?
