I just went to my granddaughter’s birthday party today, Jan 4, 2025. I was very disappointed on the service and how it was ruined for my granddaughter. First , my daughter paid for hair for the dolls. The dolls came back the same but with a bow. The 2 ladies that came in were rude and made us feel like we were not comfortable. My other daughter had to be the coordinator for the party because we were not told what to do and the little girls were just sitting there. Pizza was ok and the girls were given cake and pizza. We were not given the left over cake. When we were offered drinks we felt like we were in the way. I could go on and on but i am very disappointed with American Girl. I took my girls when they were little and never experienced this . My daughter paid a lot of money for my granddaughter to have a beautiful party and we got a room . Very disappointed and I don’t recommend this.

We made the trip to South Park Mall and to American Girl Place.
We coincidentally parked right at the mall entrance where American Girl was located.
The store was clean with lots of friendly staff members. My daughter was nothing but smiles. There's a huge selection of dolls to choose from. Ones in different themes, eras and accessories like outfit changes, pets, vehicles etc. Throughout the store you'll also find reading books for each doll.

The staff member who helped us was named Jennifer. Jennifer was nothing short of sunshine to deal with. She was engaging and had my daughter smiling throughout her search to figure out what she wanted.

We will definitely be visiting for more.

This store has always been a highlight of SouthPark Mall for myself and so many others; to learn of its upcoming closing is a devastating loss. The manager and the staff are TRULY what makes this store shine. I can honestly say they make every visit special for both longtime customers and new ones. They’ve given me some of the absolute best retail experiences I’ve ever had. In the age of electronics and digital toys, losing a retail store that offers toys based on history and imaginative play is disheartening. I wish nothing but the best for the employees at American Girl Charlotte—they should all be recognized as Stars for the company.

This is such a fun store to shop in and explore!! If going on the weekends its nice to get there when they first open, as it does get crowded!

Customer service is typically great and I love the salon! It is not an inexpensive store, so may want to check that out before you go. It is easy to get carried away!!

My daughter is 10 and loves AG, but I dont know who of us has more fun here!!

Everything at this store is so overpriced, especially the 18 inch dolls and their clothing and accessories but for some reason, the May dolls are cheaper why I don’t have 1 million doll and I don’t want one. I prefer the 18 inch dolls. It’s just all their merchandise is so overpriced Especially the dolls.

My daughter and i celebrated her 6th birthday here and let me just say the staff was so patient and helpful as my baby girl shopped around and to add icing on the cake we took the mommy and me mothers day cooking/tea party class at the American Girl Bistro!!!! Chelsea and Jade were so energetic and knowledgeable 10/10 highly recommend! be sure to make reservations/get tickets weeks in advance

We just had the most wonderful experience at the Holiday tea. My granddaughter had the biggest smile on her face, totally worth every penny! From the presentation, food, surprises, and even a doll chair complete with plate and cup, every detail was perfectly executed! A special shoutout to our host Angela, who made the experience even more delightful. She was so engaging with each of us, adding a wonderful personal touch that made it all the more special. Really made it such a welcoming environment. Also, shoutout to the sweet lady working behind the counter, she was so pleasant, and we enjoyed her as well! Will definitely make a return trip!

Fantastic store filled with high quality products and a first rate staff. It's American Girl, so be prepared to wait to get in and have your wallet with the most money in it on you. The bistro was a surprise! It was by reservation but the food and service was actually quite good! It was very separate from the store and it didn't feel like you were eating in a doll store. Absolutely will go again (once I save up enough to go)!
