I stopped here to rest on a very long and stressful drive. I was frazzled and exhausted, and I *really* needed a space to crash.
The front desk clerk was wonderful, he helped me calm down and get my bearings, and found me a room at a very reasonable price.
All staff I met were very kind and helpful.
The breakfast was great, too - nice selection of breakfast foods, including some really good sausages.

I travel a lot and 9/10 times stay at a holiday inn. Most of the have comfy beds which I like and they don’t break the bank. This one was a last minute as I was driving thru and didn’t want to pay tge almost 200.00 in KC. Area. and was cheaper than most in the Kansas City area. Service was quick rooms were ok just beat up. I slept great except for every now and then I can hear the cars of the highway and some noise guest in other rooms. Located right off the highway was a plus and was only 28 minutes to the Kansa city airport which was great.

Got to our room and immediately something seemed wrong. The room was very humid, and yet the AC was set to 65 and freezing. With AC running it really shouldn't be humid. Kicked my shoes off, floor was wet. The room was just uncomfortable to be in. We found a used wash cloth and hair in the shower. I went down to the desk to ask for a different room and they didn't have anymore rooms with two beds. After much thought we decided to leave. Upon leaving, we discovered what looked like blood on a blanket. So we definitely got out of there. Desk clerk said he'd reverse our transaction so hopefully he does and we don't have to go any further. The place in general was in tough shape. Screws were popping out of the sheetrock, laminate on the TV desk was about to come off. Generally dumpy.

loved my stay at this historical hotel, if you didn't know this is the hotel where Joe Mink drove his car into trying to get a real death scene for the video game he was working on called Speed Hopper, I was hopping that someone would attempt a Mink and drive into the hotel while I was staying there but unfortunately I only got to see one attempt and they hit a mine before they got very close, oh well I guess Ill have to come back.

We had a really nice stay. The check-in was the easiest ever because of their pre-check-in text. We literally just picked up our keys at the front desk. Our room was very nice, clean, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel was very quiet so we got a nice, restful night's sleep. We didn't eat breakfast, but there were nice choices (partly because we didn't get up early and the cutoff for breakfast was 9:00 a.m. which I think is a bit early on a Saturday). Not a big deal though as we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as it wasn't very far off of the highway. We will definitely stay here again.

Gross dirty coffee machine and really gross dirty water dispenser in the room with the exercise equipment. Makes me suspicious of the cleaning process which grosses me out. And the wifi wasn't even existent in my room

I was unsure at first to book this hotel due to negative reviews, but glad I kept the reservation. Hotel was easy access from interstate. Quiet area. Glad this hotel thought of comfort features. Had a kind suite. Our room was excellent. With a king bed, had 4 king size pillows not those tiny ones. The bathroom had soap dispensers at sink and tub/shower areas with DOVE brand products. Very nice. The tolet was high enough, not sitting on the floor. Had refrigerator, Kurig coffee maker in room. BK 6- 9 am was very good. The usual items including the delicious cinnamon buns. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only problem, pool was closed by heath inspector which was ok as do not use pools. Would recommend.|
