He listens to me and sits down and talks. Sounds weird but the last pain doctor never sat down. I always felt like she was in a hurry. Takes his time and never feel like he rushing me out. Great doctor and I’m lucky he treated me. The ladies that sit at the desk in the back are not overly friendly but the nurses that take me to the room and do the vitals are great. Thank you Dr Vulcan for all you have done for me. Although you look like you are 25 you are not. Thank you again for your great care.

If I could leave a negative number, it would be <10>. This is the worst excuse for a doctor I've ever been to. He did a lot of damage but did no good for me. I'm totally surprised anyone can say anything good about him. The results of his lack of knowledge and certainly lack of compassion towards patients is unbelievable. My husband witnessed how bad he is and our discussions with other medical professionals assured me I am not alone in this realization. I've never had a doctor or his nurse, which is another horror story altogether, call me at home more than 6 times a day for weeks, demanding I come in to be berated and traumatized by these people. It was unbelievable. He caused more pain by botching an injection in my back with a horse needle trying to force the needle in my spine then when he failed twice, he blamed me and said my pain was due to depression from taking pain meds. This was the day after my son died. I left in tears and refused to go back which led to the harassing phone calls. Then lies and his.nurse falsifying my medical records along with denying the needle incident even took place. I considered a lawsuit but won't waste my time on him. I've been to many wonderful, intelligent, caring doctors in my life but Vulcan is not one of them.

I’ve been in pain management since 1999 with several doctors. I saw Vulcan, told him what had been done previously and agreed to a procedure I’d had good results with in the past that had lasted 2 years. Vulcan does the procedure and it lasted 3 months. This man is in this business for the $$$ not for helping patients feel better. He totally lacks any empathy or compassion.
I saw Dr Duarte who agreed I needed surgery and lessened my pain by half.

Vulcan is not a competent pain management doctor.

Great pain mgmt doctor. Doesn’t promote just pain medication and truly wants the best for you. I’ve had back pain for years and we both wanted me off medication. Tried doing so and it didn’t work so we went back to meds. He listens and doesn’t force anything upon you. The previous review about malpractice and forcing treatment upon you seems bogus. Nothing has even come close to that. Listens to what I have to say and works out a treatment plan with you. Highly recommend if you want a better life.

I agree with some of the other reviews I seen that talked about falsifying records. after a recent appointment I went back and read the notes from my chart and there were countless things left in the notes that did not happen, they may have happened on appointments three four months ago but they did not happen at the last appointment.
there were also inaccuracies about body parts that were not considered by the doctor or has anything to do with the doctor.
that were wholy inaccurate.

I plan in the future to have a recording device running at all times in the office even though it says turn off all recording devices Texas is a one-party consent state and only one party in the room has to consent or the will to consent it takes only one and that one can be yourself so use the law and those smartphones, record every word everytime. that also goes for recording the phone conversations with receptionist and nurses.

stay tuned next month for chapter 3 of the ongoing follies of Dr Vulcans faux pain management clinic.

I've seen this dr in the past and I've started seeing him again. He has found a medicine that works miracles for me. He also has done back and shoulder injections ,on me and was very careful hardly any discomfort. I had other injections by othe dr that were very painful. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars is because of his staff most were very rude

I believe in the Ying & Yang of life so, with that, everyone and thing has a good and bad.
Quickly, the bad part is; due to the system, he does not have a lot of time to spend with each patient. He does have time to treat you and talk to you about your issues but, then he has to rush out the door to the next patient. No time to chit chat like we used to. Those days are long gone due to "the system".
Now, with the good:
He does listen and try to help. He sincerely wants you to be without as much pain as possible aaaaand NOT be addicted to opiates.
I myself am in long term pain management, going on now to the beginning of my 4th decade trying to deal with pain and all the aspects it brings up.
I personally get tired of taking pills that limit my activity due to giving me the lethargic or the "high" feeling. I missed out on too much of life due to those pills or the pain. Dr. Vulcan has come up with and now managing a way for me to not only kick those pills to the curb but, live & love life again without those opiate "highs" & zombie feeling.
Please give him a try. Listen to him as he will also listen to you and ONLY THEN work out a plan to help with your pain if he thinks possible.
Thank you Dr. Vulcan!!
& trusty assistant- Santiago!
Gotta love Jeanette? at the front desk handling phones & check in. She is my day of sunshine.

I do not recommend this office. They stopped seeing me as they insist I missed or rescheduled 21 appointments! Who does that? No one! Neurosurgeon resent a referral and it was denied for the same reason! How can they claim I missed 21 appointments when I haven’t been given an appointment! Unfortunately, this is the only pain clinic in town!
